What does a pre-built stall include?
A pre-built stall is a metal framed market stall, approximately 1.2m x 3 metres in size with an overhead canopy. Chairs are not included- please bring your own.
Can I pay extra for chairs?
We are unable to supply chairs- please bring your own.
What is a self -build pitch?
A self -build pitch is a plot of land that will be allocated for you to build your own stall. All self- build stalls must be suitable and appropriate. Should the Market Manager decide that your stall is unsafe or a danger to the public, unfortunately you may be asked to vacate your pitch. The Market Managers decision is final.
Adult area?
We are willing to accept stall applications for items that are suitable for people over 18 only, however additional costs for security will apply. Please contact us for further details.
Why do I need to pay extra for electricity?
You need to pay extra for power because it costs us to provide it to you.
I represent a registered charity- why do I need to pay VAT on my booking?
Unfortunately Cardiff Wales LGBT Mardi Gras has to pay VAT so we have had to pass this cost on to you.
Can I decide I want electricity on the day of the event?
Unfortunately all electrical requests must be made and paid for in advance.
Can I get a refund if I cancel?
Refunds will only be made should the event be cancelled.
How many people can I bring to man my stall?
You will be allocated 2 trader passes which allow access to the site.
I’ve booked the wrong size stall- how can I change this?
Please contact the Markets Manager, Gavin Wilson so that we can try to accommodate your request
What is the latest date that I can make a booking?
We have a limited number of pitches available- so please do make your booking as soon as possible. Space on the site is limited so once they are gone, they’re gone!
Can I park on site?
Unfortunately parking is not allowed on site. If you are a blue badge holder, please make this clear on your booking form so that we can make necessary arrangements for you.
What time can I access the market area to set up?
You'll be allocated a set up time and temporary vehicle pass between 8am and 10 am on the day of the event only. All vehicles must exit the site by 10.30am.
Can you invoice my organisation for payment?
We would prefer all payments to be made via BACS. However, we may be able to invoice you by prior arrangement. Please e-mail Gavin Wilson - Markets Manager for further information on this facility.
Can I request where my pitch will be situated?
We will endeavour to meet all requests which must be clearly marked on your booking form at the time of booking. However, it may not be possible to meet all requests and the Market Managers decision is final.
What is the print deadline for adverts?
We need all print ready adverts by May 31st.
What format should by logo be?
Please send .jpeg .eps or .ai files only.
Can I give out leaflets?
Leafleting is strictly prohibited. This is because it increases the volume of litter on the site which we need clean up at the end of the event.
Can I give out food and drink samples?
Giving out food and drink samples is strictly prohibited for health and safety and other contractual requirements.
What Health & Safety Documentation do I need?
All stall holders will be required to undertake their own risk assessment and provide a certificate of public liability insurance when makinig payment. This must be sent by email to Gavin Wilson.
What time can I leave the site?
You can vacate your stall at any time but vehicles will not be allowed back on to the site until after the event has finished and the public have left the field.
